Functional Pottery

There's no clear division between whimsical and functional in our work--the mugs, banks and incense dragons do function, and there's an element of whimsy in the decoration on our cups, bowls, plates and bakeware.

But for the sake of organization:

• Tableware: Hand-painted soup bowls, toddler bowls, plates, mugs, dessert plates, stew mugs
• Cooking and baking: Covered casseroles, baking dishes, pie plates, garlic roasters, colanders, batter bowls
• Storage: Cookie jars, honey pots, butter dishes, French butter dishes
• Serving dishes: Serving bowls, platters, pasta bowls, pitchers, teapots
• Other Stuff: Vases, tool crocks, toothbrush holders, travel mugs and whatever the heck else we come up with...

All of our pottery is lead-free, and oven, dishwasher and microwave-safe.

We do recommend that you preheat teapots with hot tap water before using, and I usually put casseroles, pie dishes and bakers into the oven before I turn it on, and add five minutes to the baking time. Never use pottery on a stove-top or over an open flame. The results with be short, impressive, but dangerous.
